Novel protest

Vatal Saar is at it again! The man who brought donkeys to Vidhana Soudha and beat a gong continuously to disrupt the Governor’s speech has made news once again. And this time, it is even the more bizarre.

He has served a warning that if 20,000 toilets are not built in Bangalore by January 1 2009, he and his team will convert the road in front of the Chief Minister’s house into a public urinal. And he will be the first to inaugurate the “relieving” event!

I would have thought that if someone wanted to protest the lack of toilets in the city, then they would have built a toilet right in front of the Chief Minister’s house. Or may be serve the Chief Minister with lots of liquids whenever he is traveling 🙂 But to actually cause more of the same problem to highlight a problem – beats my logic.

It also gets scary if we think of what could happen if people start using similar tactics to protest other issues affecting us….

• The government should stop all thefts/crime occurring in Bangalore by Jan 1 2009, else…..
• The government should prevent all drunkards from creating nuisance in public places by Jan 1 2009, else….
• The government should take steps to completely eliminate bribery in government offices by Jan 1 2009, else….
